And herb garden (minus the baby avocado tree on the right):
Last weekend we finally got around to the planting part of our garden adventure. We planted zucchini, eggplant, tomatoes, carrots, 3 kinds of lettuce, cucumbers, sweet peppers, peas, and brussel sprouts. Herb wise we planted parsley, basil, hyssop, salad cress, dotted mint, licorice mint, and echinacea. I just went out and snapped these photos today...

As you can see, our planter boxes are encroaching into jungle territory. That is why our beds are covered in those annoying little green palm seeds. Unless we spread out shade cloth we are going to be stuck with them. Bummer. This part of the yard gets less sun then our other planter box so we get to see which works better. Nothing like a good experiment! All the seeds we used (with the exception of the brussel sprouts) are organic and were compliments of Adam's mom, Debra. Thank you so much for meticulously collecting, saving, and then sharing them with us!! Please check out her blog called View from Debra's Porch!
